Don’t fall into the seminar junkie trap. A new investor can easily buy thousands and thousands of dollars in real estate seminars before ever buying a property. Becoming involved in your local association will help you avoid paying now for seminars you may not need till later.
The Georgia Real Estate Investor Association has something for all real estate investors. The Georgia Real Estate Investor Association, GaREIA for short, is the largest real estate investor association in the country. GaREIA is a wealth of information for members and non-members alike. New investors can attend a four-hour real estate investing for beginners seminar at no charge the first and third Saturday of every month.

There is no substitution for good old-fashioned roll up your sleeves study. In real estate, knowledge is power, and ignorance can be obscenely expensive.
